Description
Jonathan's last technological business establishment endeavor was in founding and daily management of I.ACT- an intelligence-based IP Telecommunications & Networking Business+Investment+Management Contract Consulting and Professional Services Provider. Besides, since 1995, he's been practicing international marketing/sales and channel management for a family-related heavy machinery trading business.
Jonathan Cheng started out by displaying his talent in painting at the age of 4, and was awarded many times throughout his schooling years. Interestingly, later in his 20's, by exercising his wide-spectrum of capabilities, he earned a Bachelor Degree in Physics followed by a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, and became a very active participant in various telecom & networking sectors in California in the 1980's.
While working for Citicorp/Quotron (Now Citigroup) from 1986 through 1989, he was first the key engineer and later a project manager in bridging and bringing up the FIRST international T1 digital telecom network for the successful transport of company's Trans-Atlantic financial data communications. After joining UCLA Campus Network Services (now UCLA Communications Technology Services) in 1989, he became a Team Leader/Sr. Network Engineer and made great contribution to the design, development, and support of the UCLA Campus Backbone Network.
