It is every day more usual to find photovoltaic panels in our cities and countryside. Not in vain, world's PV market in the last decade has been driven by a certainly chilling 30% average annual growth rate. The 200MW world's annual production in year 2000 are expected to turn 500MW in 2005 and over 2GW in 2010. Apparently the long awaited "Energy of the Future", is now really starting to come true. Nevertheless recent forecasts based on precise economic models, advise that goals set by environmental policies for this industry - which by means of subsidies are a major cause for the present evolution - could not be reached and growth could stagnate, if leapfrogging technology breakthroughs do not come into scene.
Based in Spain, Europe's biggest photovoltaics producer and one of its most pushing research motors, InSpira is in a privileged position to fulfil its foundational leit motiv whenever it maintains close cooperation links to the local major players. But also ties to European partners were sought from a start, and numerous are the projects developed that today attest also the accomplishment of this goal. A network of partners that goes on growing simply by filling our passport with WDW* stamps.
