InnovativEye Launches 1-Hour Course on Innovative Thinking

IdeaCycles Course is focused on innovative thinking. It integrates numerous creative problem solving processes, including lateral thinking, intersectional thinking and word/image association. Intersectional thinking is a concept defined by Frans Johansson in The Medici Effect

The online version of IdeaCycles will change the way you think and the results you achieve. It will challenge you to define one question or issue you want to solve, then you will be guided through a series of interactive exercises to create radically different ideas. The process moves outside your normal thinking patterns which confine your creativity to assumptions, patterns and inertia. When faced with challenges, we often make decisions that are predictable. The Innovative Eye Program

In collaboration with Dave Kresta, Chas Martin has created an Innovation Eye Program. The aim of the program is to integrate entrepreneurial creativity with pragmatic planning to create a competitive advantage.

This program is split up in three primary stages. The first phase of preparation sets parameters and seeks to engage the key participants. The Development Phase draws a draft of a concise business plan after taking into account the cross sectional factors and determinants. The Execution Phase maps the plans to longer term strategies.

All in all it is a very engaging experience and triggers creative output.

Six Thinking Hats Course

Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats is one tool used by InnovativEye for collaborative creative thinking

Edward De Bono's concept of thinking hats has shaped the trajectory of innovation for many business related concepts. It is a tool for collaborative creative thinking which introduced parallel thinking and lateral thinking techniques. His Six Thinking Hats approach represents thinking strategies with each colored hat symbolizing a different approach. For example the Green Hat represents Creative Thinking, Black Hat represents Critical thinking so on and so forth. De Bono believed that people could be more productive in meetings and collaborating within groups and teams by deliberately using these approaches.

InnovativEye offers a one day course which uses the approach of the Six Thinking Hats as promulgated by De Bono. The activity achieves break through results; with the optimal employee involvement it stimulates the creative process and lays the foundation for collaborative creativity.

Meet the Creative Guru

Chas Martin has evolved from his role as creative director to creative mentor, facilitator, trainer and innovation facilitator. His career path has taken him to diverse fields which have laid the basis for his expertise in imaginative problem solving. As an art director, writer, and eventually creative director, he has been involved in marketing communications,interactive entertainment and even online and classroom education.

Martin has provided creative leadership for a wide range of organizations, including SAS Institute, Sprint, U.S. Marine Corps Center for Business Excellence, Parker Brothers Games, Cutter Laboratories, and Tektronix. Additional projects include HP, InFocus, and Intel.
