Description
Infocorp is a young and successful company, which was founded only 13 years ago. It has rapidly become one of the most important players in the IT industry in Uruguay (South America), a country that has regionally positioned itself as a technological pole.
The company has been recognized many times by very important organizations such as Microsoft and Endeavor. Microsoft has recently awarded the company with the “Q&C 5 Gold Stars” status, which makes Infocorp one of the very few Microsoft Partners in all Latin America to receive this distinction. Besides that, the entrepreneurial spirit that guides its founder and president, as well as the whole company, has also attracted the attention of organizations such as Endeavor, which has greatly recognized the company by letting it be part of their companies´ base, and giving the “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award to its president in 2003, in Uruguay. In addition to that, and representing today a great pride to the company, another big theme is the 10th place obtained in 2006 “Great Place To Work” survey, being Infocorp the absolute leader in the IT sector fro 3 years in a row now. This acknowledgement talks by itself, and has been a great reward to many years of specific policies in order to make Infocorp´s team one of the best in the country by personal and professional continuous development. Lastly, in March 2007, the company has been evaluated as a CMMI level 3 organization, being the first uruguayan company (and one of the very fews in all Latin America) to obtain this level of maduration for its software processes.
Based in Montevideo, Uruguay, one of the cities with best standard of living in Latin America (according to Mercer Human Resource Consulting, 2006), the company now has six offices in four different countries, and maintains operations and sales in countries such as: Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Spain. The key areas of work and experience of Infocorp are:
• Enterprise Application Integration (EAI): Based on Microsoft Biztalk Server 2006 (and earlier versions), HIS, integrating different plataforms such as ERPs and data bases in projects with high technical complexity.
• Collaboration and Portals: Corporate portals developed on Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 or Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007. Content management systems based on Microsoft Content Management Server.
• Information Worker: Projects of productivity increase based on Microsoft Office System 2007, Infopath, OneNote and Office profesional´s combo.
• Business Intelligence: Based on solutions given by Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (and earlier versions), Analisys Services, SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services, Business Scorecard Manager 2005.
• Workflow: Based on IC-Workflow, Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007 and Windows Workflow Foundation. IC-Workflow is an integration of platforms developed by Infocorp 100% with .NET technologies, and it aims at generating escalating models for better control and the automatization of processes in various organizations.
• Financial Services: Already with implementations in important banks of Latin America, Infocorp counts with a financial framework based on an Internet Banking solution and middleware. 100% developed with .NET technologies, this generates the flexibility in the integration with different Core Bankings and implements a services´ layer and integration with IVR, Call Centers, ATMs, and mobile platforms.
