Description
Indoor Cricket Queensland (ICQ) is the state governing body responsible for the development and management of the sport of Indoor Cricket in Queensland. We have twenty-seven Member Centres across the state who work closely with ICQ in providing participation opportunities.
Through funding and assistance received from the State Government’s Department of Local Government, Planning and Sport and Recreation, ICQ have established a head office located at the Milton Sports House, in the shadows of Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. The office is staffed by three full-time staff including a Chief Executive Officer, an Indoor Cricket Administrator and an Indoor Netball Administrator. A partnership program established with the sports National body, Indoor Cricket Australia (ICA) has recently seen a Development Officer appointed to oversee development initiatives in the state. See the “Junior Development button for more information here.
In South East Queensland, ICQ oversees the running of the annual Super League competition. Steeped with tradition, for a sport so young, Super League provides the social player a higher level of competition for their competitive desires. Run in three divisions, this weekly event runs begins in early March and culminates in a hard fought finals series through July and August.
