About Independent Lake Camp
Independent Lake Camp does not fit the mold of ordinary summer camps; instead, the Wayne County, Pennsylvania-based camp offers its guests access to exciting and unique programs that vary from high-adventure sports to trapeze and circus performing. Founded some 25 years ago, Independent Lake Camp runs two week summer sessions for children ages 6 to 17.
Located in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, Independent Lake Camp maintains modern facilities that support its unique program offerings. As one of the premier Pocono Mountain sports camps, the organization features a variety of fields and courts for playing basketball, soccer, volleyball, and tennis. Some of the camp’s more exclusive amenities include an outdoor go-kart track and a trapeze center.
The camp also boasts exciting special events, such as its Fourth of July Carnival and fireworks show and the ILC Olympics. The Olympiad pits teams against each other in a camp-wide competition involving every sport and activity available there.
