ARMS was started in the Lafayette area due to the lack of anyone local to provide radon mitigation services to the Greater Lafayette area. Mr. Alton Potts, of Professional Radon Systems had passed away and there really wasn't anyone to service the needs of the community. Due to our backgrounds, we were uniquely situated to help fill the void left by his passing, and we feel that we are now serving the Greater Lafayette community and the State of Indiana as the premier residential and commercial mitigation company in the state.
Primarily our clients have been homeowners involved in real estate transactions - buying or selling their homes. We've worked with many Realtors, and are also affiliate members of the Lafayette Regional Association of Realtors. We also work with several national relocation companies, providing radon testing and mitigation services for them. We also work with several real estate insurance companies in providing radon mitigation service for the home warranties they offer. Of course, our clients also include those people who have tested the radon levels in their homes on their own, and found problems as well.
This is not an all inclusive list - in calendar year 2001, ARMS did over 200 radon tests and installed nearly 100 mitigation systems.
