About The Website
This website was developed as a community website for all men who wear Kilts, Skirts, Sarongs etc in the name of Fashion Freedom. It is hoped that the site will become an advocacy site, and that it will give the fashion companies some idea about what type of mans skirt they should create if they have should try again.
Many visitors to this site find their fashion choices to be unessesarily restricted. Is there any sensible reason for the modern western man to be confinded to trousers or shorts when our forfarthers, men in non western cultures and women had/have very few fashion restrictions. The site explores the reasons why western men are limited to trousers and shorts. We look at how we can use the clothing from non-westernised cultures, the clothes we used to wear, and womens clothing in order to obtain our fashion freedom.
Advocacy
Women have only been able to wear trousers for around 50-60 years. They won this right during the second world war where they wore trousers while performing traditionally male jobs in the factories while the men were at war. At this time it was still unacceptable for a woman to wear trousers outside of the workplace, but 5 years later women acheived this right, and hence obtained their fashion freedom.
