The IMAGE Film Awards Gala will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 in the Egyptian Ballroom of Atlanta’s Fabulous Fox Theatre. We are pleased to announce that Academy Award®-winning actress CICELY TYSON will be in attendance to receive the Ossie Davis award from Ms. RUBY DEE. The IMAGE Film Awards Gala, now in its 6th year, recognizes achievement in Southeastern media arts and is IMAGE’s largest annual fundraising event. Its proceeds support the Atlanta Film Festival, Out On Film, and the many year-round programs and services IMAGE offers to the Atlanta community. IMAGE Film and Video Center recently announced that they are conducting a search for an Executive Director. The IMAGE Board of Directors has formed a Search Committee consisting of Executive Committee members and community leaders. A call for candidates is underway.
