They repeatedly spoke of being overwhelmed by their workloads but not wanting to take on the additional expense of hiring another associate. Many of them had tried to find assistance though part-time paralegals or recent law school grads but they still felt weren't getting exactly what they needed. They wanted to only pay for assistance when they needed assistance and they wanted to feel confident that the assistance they received was top quality.
