- Thank you for coming to visit us here at the Institute for Rural Church Development website. It is our desire that you will find this website both informative and helpful in your work for the kingdom of God. While pastoring a small rural church in Northwest Oklahoma, Dr. David Myers decided to begin developing and providing Church Growth and Leadership Resources for small rural churches. Then, as now, it was his belief that rural churches can grow when they are healthy. The purpose of this website then, is to provide you access to many of those resources. In addition to those church resources, you will also find much personal and professional information on Dr. Myers which hopefully will be a value to you in your personal journey of Spirtuality and Leadership.
