- He graduated with a B.Sc. in Applied Physics from Coventry Polytechnic in 1981 and a M.Sc. in Medical Physics from the University of Aberdeen in 1982 with a thesis on computer imaging of radiotracer distribution within the human body. After leaving Aberdeen University, he pursued a career in technical computing holding such positions as Principal Software Engineer, Systems Manager and Technical Manager for companies such as Fisons and Mowlems. He was a co-founder and Director of The WSA Consultancy and following its successful disposal he took up a consulting post with Optimal Communications cumulating in becoming Systems Architect in 2000. He left Optimal in 2001 to set-up ICEnetware to pursue NMS software product opportunities and to develop supporting technologies. Mr Wilmot has extensive experience of both product design and the management of software development teams. He is presently a Chartered Physicist, a Member of the Institute of Physics, and a Fellow of the Institute of Analysts and Programmers.
