Title

Daniel C. Learned, P.C., U.S. Immigration & Nationality Law

Description

About Daniel C. Learned:

Daniel C. Learned was born on Martha's Vineyard Island, Massachusetts, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan after graduating from Bates College in Maine. He served as an adjunct professor of immigration and nationality law at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Michigan, the courts of the United States Virgin Islands, and various other courts. He is authorized to practice before the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS), the Board of Immigration Appeals, the U.S. Department of Labor, and other government agencies, as well as American Consulates throughout the world. He speaks French at the conversational level.

The focus of Mr. Learned's immigration and nationality law practice is on "business immigration law," with special emphasis in EB-1 extraordinary ability and EB-2 national interest waiver cases. He counsels colleges, universities, professionals, investors, and others in all states of the United States and in countries throughout the world in obtaining immigrant or nonimmigrant visas authorizing work in the United States on a permanent or temporary basis. His clients include employers and employees in Michigan, Arizona, Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, California, Florida, Washington, and many other states. He has represented people before American consulates throughout the world, including London, Seoul, Beijing, Paris, Taipei, Bonn, Beirut, Manila, Moscow, and Sydney.

Representation of people before the Department of Labor and the INS throughout the United States and the world is possible because the procedures involved in employment-based immigration generally do not require the physical presence of the lawyer at the place where the decisions are made.
