The International Interracial Association (IIA) was founded in June 1995 by Konrad Hernblad, with the support of three other individuals. They all met over the Internet from places as diverse as Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong, and the United States to form an organization with the aim of promoting racial and cultural harmony worldwide.
