Scott is a bankruptcy lawyer and the owner of West Coast Bankruptcy. He is a native Oregonian originally from Eugene. Scott earned his law degree in 1997 from the University of Oregon School of Law, located in Eugene, Oregon. He was on the Oregon Law Review and the International Moot Court Team. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication with honors, cum laude, in 1993 from the University of Washington, located in Seattle, Washington.
