Hortensia Fussy, born in Graz/Austria, after visiting the Artschool in Graz, went straight to Vienna to study three years (1972-1975) on the Academy of fine Arts with Fritz Wotruba, the great Austrian Sculptor. After Wotruba's death in 1975, Hortensia became a freelance artist, sculptress, drawer and painter, landscapes, painting in oil. In her work Hortensia emphasizes the artistic form for describing the human figure. This way of showing the human figure lead in Austria from Schule, Klimt and Böckl and was renewed in the school Fritz Wotruba. Meantimes, Hortensia's sculptures have been shown in personal exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Croatia, Bosnia & Hercegovina, Italy, Portugal, Egypt and in the US.
