Whistler is the largest and always one of the top rated ski resorts in North America. Two mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb, rise up a mile out of the valley (1,609 metres/ 5,280 vertical feet) and access over 7,000 acres of prime mountain terrain - including 12 alpine bowls, 3 glaciers and over 200 marked trails with 33 lifts leading to them. The lifts have a capacity to carry almost 60,000 skiers per hour.
