Hastings city itself boasts beautiful parks and unique Spanish Mission architecture.
For those who enjoy water sports, rushing white water rivers lead to the Pacific Ocean, which is warm in summer, with safe beaches. Fish abound in the sea and rivers while Cape Kidnappers is home to the world's largest accessible mainland gannet colony. The region has a Mediterranean climate: sunny, dry and ideal for outdoor activities.
