Title
Montana Campground 7th Ranch RV Camp and Historic Tours, where horses and history come together
Description
Chip & I purchased our ranch from Henry Weibert, author of Sixty-Six Years in Custer's Shadow, on July 13, 1992. At that time it had a burned-out house and falling-down arena filled with weeds because no one had been living there for quite some time. Mr. Weibert was happy to see a family who was interested in history have the ranch.
Chip & I are both 4th generation Montanans. Chip's great- grandfather was "punching cattle" near Mission Creek near Livingston, MT when Custer was killed. My great-grandfather was one of the first stagecoach driver/ mail carriers in Yellowstone Park. Owning our own ranch and getting back to our family roots has long been a dream of ours. We believe strongly in sharing our way of life & western culture with others.
