Why Counted Tapestry?
Tapestries can be delightful pictures - but when you want real detail and life-like features, you can't go past counted, sepia tone tapestries created by award-winning artist Malcolm Hill.
It all began for Malcolm as a hobby. Now, having won state and national awards for his outstanding tapestries, Malcolm has brought his art-form into the homes and lives of everyday men & women.
There are numerous tapestries available for hobbyists to do - mostly printed onto canvas backing sheets - in several different colours. Whilst they are fun to do and produce a nice picture, they generally lack the subtleties of colour shades, light, shadow and depth, and can be inaccurately represented or interpreted.
