Title

The Herculaneum Bridge - hotel accommodation and b + b.

Description

The Herculaneum Bridge Hotel was built in the middle of the 19th Century, and is a fine example of Victorian architecture. A large glass roof dome in the breakfast room is a particularly interesting feature. The Hotel is situated in the district of Dingle just inland from what used to be the Herculaneum Dock. It was frequented by the crews of the sailing ships which used to anchor in the dock. A particularly colourful past landlord of the Hotel had a wooden leg, hence the nickname "Peglegs".

The hotel is close to Brunswick Merseyrail station and several bus stops for Liverpool City Centre. For the more exercise minded, the City Centre and the Albert Dock are both approximately half an hour's walk away. For transport details, click on the link to the "How to find us" page.

The following photographs show aspects of the interior and exterior of the hotel. Please be patient while the photographs are downloaded.
