From humble beginnings in 1945 in a small two room office at 145 East Amite Street in downtown Jackson, Lou Heiden founded the independent insurance agency which is now known as Heiden& Garland, Inc. Lou' s son, John Heiden joined the agency in 1962, and serves as Chairman of the Board of the agency. Doug Garland, with a background in bond underwriting with USF & G, joined the agency in 1985, and serves as President. Heiden & Garland, Inc.
