Heal the Church is an association of lay Catholics dedicated to healing the wounded Church. All those who seek positive solutions to the crisis are welcome.
4) To call for the removal and disclosure of any person who would undermine our Church and Nation by harming its young people; and
We were founded in May of 2002, and our ideas are already gaining exposure. Our Executive Director was a guest on the Fox News Channel's "O'Reilly Factor" on August 14, and a letter about the propriety of sealed legal settlements was carried by the New York Times on September 12. Perhaps as importantly, our ideas are influencing others with a stake in this crisis. New York Times religion editor and longtime Church commentator Peter Steinfels published an article in "The Tablet" on September 14, regarding the media and the Crisis, that substantially reflects many of our core views on these topics.
