Whilst Collins and Butterworth has been at the heart of the local community for over 20 years now, the business began life in Denton, Manchester in 1830, owned by Mr Collins. The Butterworth family have been an integral part of the company since early last century, and in sole ownership since 1923. We have a long heritage of pharmacy and pride ourselves on over 175 years of pharmacy heritage. We moved to Hawkshead in 1986, taking over a pharmacy which itself was over 50 years old.
