In historic Arrowtown the past is all around you - a living classroom.The Lakes District Museum Education Programme encourages active hands-on learning by literally holding the past in our hands. Inquiry, discussion and problem solving allows students to take a closer look and develop a deeper understanding of the amazing resources.
Our programme is designed to enrich and enhance the New Zealand curriculum by providing a range of hands-on activities which cannot be provided in a normal classroom setting .
The education officer works with teachers to create a programme which complements your area of study. If required a specific unit, or part of a unit can be tailored for your students' needs.
