Luke was born in Toronto, Canada in 1960 and started showing his first dog (a Lhasa Apso) when he was 13 years old. At age 14, he bought his first Shih Tzu (a black mask gold named Jylly) which became his first champion. He has been showing dogs ever since. Although Luke met Diane in 1980, they didn't start dating until 1990. They were married in 1992, after which Luke moved to the U.S.
Diane was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1959. Her first experience in the ring was at age 14 with Nini (Ch. Chateau's White Peony Of Arlys), a Shih Tzu which became her first champion at age 15. She continued to show dogs on the weekends while going to school and after that, while working for 11 years at an accounting firm. In 1990, she decided to make showing dogs her full-time job.
Luke and Diane currently reside with all of their dogs, a few cats and two parrots just outside of Toledo, Ohio.
