Hackney Liberal Democrats are run by volunteers who have made the decision to join the Liberal Democrats. We are a cross section of people who live in the borough of Hackney.
Anyone can join the party, regardless of age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, class or disability. The only precondition is that you believe in general principles of the Liberal Democrats, as specified in the preamble of our constitution;
The Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity.
