Excerpted from the website:
- Greg Syverson was born in Bend Oregon and grew up in the state of Washington. He developed a interest in fishing, which led to guiding jobs in Alaska. It was there, he learned from editors and video crews about photography and video. In 1986, Greg moved to Alaska, making it his permanent home. He spent 14 years in the Bristol Bay Area enjoying the remote outdoors with a photo camera in one hand and a video camera in the other. Greg’s work has appeared in many books, magazines, brochures, and television shows. The many years in Bristol Bay, with its world’s largest Sockeye Salmon fishery, has given Greg an intimate knowledge of underwater world of the salmon. Greg’s collection of underwater images is sought out world wide for publications. And now, his underwater footage of Alaskan Salmon and Trout are being used in videos and television shows here in the US and other countries.
