- The Greenbriar Inn was built in 1908 and is on the National Registry of Historic Places. Located in downtown Coeur d'Alene, just four blocks from the lake, it is an ideal location for weddings, receptions, retreats, seminars and holiday gatherings. It has been totally restored and decorated with an eye to elegant simplicity and comfort with a mix of antique and replica furnishings. The walls are hand-stenciled; the windows are covered with lace curtains. We offer 2000 square feet of space on the main floor, including a living room, dining room, parlor and sunroom for indoor events. A 150-foot wrap-around deck surrounds the sunroom and looks out over the garden and gazebo, where many have married during the summer months. Brick patios in the front of the house and a shady porch are ideal for fair weather use. We have seated up to 100 people on the deck alone for outside dining. The Greenbriar Inn is handicap accessible and offers two public bathrooms as well as two changing rooms with private baths for our clients and their guests.
