I have enjoyed collecting coins for a great number of years. From a young age, I collected pre-decimal Australian coins, but having a fascination for history, this interest quickly turned towards ancient coins.

In my opinon, there is no field of numismatics more rich and historically significant that of ancient coinage: one would need many lifetimes to fully appreciate each type of ancient coin available; and for lovers of history, ancient coins are like time capules from the past, preserving a definitive statement of a period of time.
