Graysharboronline.org was started as a challenge between friends. As we debated back and forth on where our country was heading, though all had different ideas how to put us back on course. However, it was apparent to everyone that the road to recovery was actually simple once removed from the politicians.
The solution is to start at the very bottom; it is “We the People” who are allowing our great Nation to continue down this troubled path. Start at the bottom you say? Yes, start in your neighborhoods, local and county governments; these are the only levels of government that can be held accountable now.
If we hold accountable our local representatives for example; not allowing county commissioners to say it is “The Federal Governments problem” when they are offering county contracts to employers they know are hiring illegal aliens, rather than enforcing the rule of law. Expecting the Federal Government clean up your backyard? They still haven't fixed Osama Bin Laden, the devastation from Katrina or the Iraq war and how it somehow got attached to 9-11, realize they are busy and everyone has to do their part because many won't.
Every morning you and I get up and there are things we just have to do, we don't like it but it is the rule of law, by which this country is founded. If they are going to delegate the laws, they should at minimum follow the rule of law. With outsourcing of jobs to other countries, gross government over spending, no gold standard, the steady decline of fair working wages is just a few of the problems that face our lives.
Having spent over a decade and a half as a Firefighter in one of largest cities in the U.S, I learned that short of death no problem is uncorrectable; it all starts with the first step.
It is my hope that GraysHarborOnline.Org grows and becomes a meeting place of our community and that first step in holding our leaders accountable for their actions, securing a place for our children and taking care of our planet.
Once we fix our neighborhood and the next one and so on, the top will have to follow for without “We the People”, they have nothing to lead.
I have to use my voice to stand up for what I believe in; creating an online site was the best way with my skill set to help the most I can.
As with life there is work, play and laughter I have tried to blend these qualities into GraysHarborOnline.Org we now have a free Games Arcade, Photo Classified and Community Forums containing many thing from horticulture, school events, local activities, organizations and more. As I receive input and requests from our community our site evolves and I have enjoyed being a part of it.
