About Grayling-On-A-Fly.com

John Elmore established his grayling camp in 1974; it is located 75 miles northeast of Nome, Alaska on the beautiful Niukluk River. It is a classic fly fishing river; crystal clear, it has a firm gravel bottom with many pools, riffles and eddies. There are very few places where the water is over waist deep, and there are no rapids. This remote river flows into the Fish River about 10 miles above the village of White Mountain. We use a jet-powered river boat to travel on the Niukluk.
