Ye Ole Fashioned Ice Cream and Sandwich Cafe was established in 1972 by Rod Lapin. As the success of his family owned restaurant flourished at the first location in West Ashley, he opened additional restaurants located in downtown Charleston, Goose Creek, Mount Pleasant, North Charleston, Summerville, and Moncks Corner. In 2007, he sold his Goose Creek location to Mr. and Mrs. Art and Karen Di Filippo. All locations pride themselves on our fresh food and ingredients, outstanding customer service, family-oriented atmosphere, and our American-style salads, sandwiches, soups, and ice creams that continue to draw repeat and new customers year-round.
