Welcome to the Golden Gavel Unit!
Description
The Golden Gavel Unit was chartered by the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) on April 6, 1982 and has been actively promoting parliamentary education throughout the Hampton Roads community.
Responding to new technologies and modes of communication, ever important in parliamentary procedure, Golden Gavel became the first NAP Unit to appear on the Internet with the debut of its original home page in July 1998. To date we have had more than 8,000 visitors to our web site.
Golden Gavel has about 50 members, many of whom actively serve in the community. We have several levels of membership including provisional (student) members, affiliate members, and regular members. Dues for these levels of membership are $25.00 per year.
