GiftGen is a gift ideas generator that suggests gift ideas for any budget. It searches through thousands of gift ideas, offering you the most suitable and suggests where you could buy them.
GiftGen.com is the brainchild of 2 college friends both now in their mid-thirties. The site does not have its own products to promote and is therefore free to suggest a full range of gift ideas (currently over 2,300 suggestions).
Gift ideas include such varied choices as 'Print your own free novelty voucher', 'hot air balloon ride with champagne' and 'sponsor a goat for a 3rd world family'.
The site was first created in August 2005, developed over several months and was subsequently re-launched with a brand new design in November 2006. Since re-launch there have been over 200,000 website visitors.
The Gift Ideas Generator was featured in the 'Best new websites' section of 'Web User' magazine (Dec 2006), where we received 4 stars out of 5. We were also featured on Radio 2's 'Website of the day' on 18th December 2006, and on GMTV on 19th December 2006.
