- The Philadelphia Area Paranormal Society ™ is a group of paranormal investigators. "Paranormal Investigators" is a term used to refer to a group of researchers who investigate alleged paranormal phenomenon, especially homes or buildings that are purported to be haunted. The purpose of this group is to assist people who believe they are experiencing paranormal activity and offer advice. If we believe for whatever reason that you need a specific type of assistance that we cannot offer we will help make arrangements for you to get assistance. We try to debunk pranks, hoax attempts, and misapprehensions (such as creaking doors, banging pipes, etc) as normal phenomenon. We believe that most cases of seemingly paranormal activity have a normal non-paranormal explanation. It is for those other cases where there is indeed paranormal activity that we are in this field of paranormal research. It is our intent where there is a haunting or reported paranormal activity, through use of various forms of evidence, to prove the existence of the paranormal. Rest assured that your name, location, pictures, videos etc. will never be used on this site without your consent. We understand that this is a field that is still often not taken seriously by people who have not experienced the paranormal. We intend to try change those views over time by providing undisputable evidence (when possible) of the paranormal and paranormal phenomenon.
