The European Portable Fuel Cell Study is a joint initiative of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, Freiburg; Freesen & Partner GmbH, Düsseldorf; and the VDI/VDE-Technologiezentrum Informationstechnik GmbH (VDI/VDE-IT), Berlin; and for the first time focusses on the developments, trends and players in portable fuel cells in Europe. Previous reports were almost exclusively concentrated on the North American and Asian region, thus neglecting the numerous R&D and commercialization activities in Europe.
