Family Services Thunder Bay is a non-profit, organization that has provided confidential counselling, advocacy, education and support for individuals, families and employers since 1967. We are governed by a voluntary Board of Directors consisting of community members. We are a member agency of the United Way of Thunder Bay. Our services are available to all citizens of the Thunder Bay area. We are an accredited member of Family Service Ontario, Family Services Canada, the Ontario Association of Credit Counselling Services and Family Services Employee Assistance Program.
Our counsellors are qualified to provide comprehensive help for a wide variety of issues. We assist people in discovering their strengths and making positive changes in their lives through programs and services which include:
Through support of the Ministry of Community and Social Services, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and the United Way of Thunder Bay, many of our programs are provided at a minimal cost.
