Description
Mapping Hacks was a bootstrap for me into going back to writing a lot. I talk on the blog there regularly, about where i think open source / grassroots geospatial software and geodata creation projects are going.
I enjoyed the process and spirit of co-organising the First World Summit on Free Information Infrastructures in London so much, that i keep wanting to do things like it again and again.
I used to keep a regular development log of what i was doing with software when i was writing a lot of software. This culminated in the nodel soft architecture and a spell of waiting for more structured information sources to be in the world. Now i'm trying to talk there more about why i made some of the decisions i made, how i saw the pieces connecting up, and where i see other peoples' tools heading.
