About

Frontiers Newsmagazine is an online magazine serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, as well as providing extensive coverage of AIDS and HIV related issues in Los Angeles, San Francisco and around the world.

The magazine was founded in 1981 by the late Bob Craig. Frontiers became the most popular "bar rag" in the Los Angeles gay community. It was a primary source of news and other information. During the 80's, Bob decided to focus on the gay male population. In the early 90's, Bob established the "newsmagazine" format.

Our founder passed away in April 2000. He left the company with his sister, Connie. Connie had no publishing experience and in October 2004, she sold a majority interest in the company. Connie Craig remains on as one of the owners, along with Tom Engell, Sam Leslie, Jeff Thomas and Evan Engell.
