Who am I? I am Fritzi, a recent retiree from the University of Connecticut where I was Director of Information Technology at UCL. Being retired is a real joy and allows me to pursue volunteer efforts and other pleasures. I was blessed with a wonderful staff, fantastic colleagues and an impressive academic community. I live in Storrs, CT.
I was raised in Connecticut, attended college in N.Y. state, then worked in Manhattan for a short while. In the late 1960's I moved to Santa Barbara California and worked at UCSB for 6 years. Although my rented house in Isla Vista was a stone's throw from the University and the ocean, I missed New England and really wanted to own a house and a little property, so I moved back East.
My father is 97 and lives with his wonderful wife Corky in Southport CT. I have a stepbrother John Shaughnessey, who is married to Michele and has two sons, Jack and Peter. They live in Missoula MT. I also have a stepsister Martha Shaughnessey Gardner who is married to Bill and they have a daughter Sarah, and a son Matthew. They live in Maplewood NJ.
