The Freedom Institute takes a belief in human liberty to be the guiding principle for political life. Our work aims to advance freedom in Ireland and internationally. Specifically, the Freedom Institute explores market based solutions to contemporary problems and advocates active foreign policy solutions to tyranny around the world. The Freedom Institute does not hold any corporate views or any political affiliation. The Freedom Institute could be considered 'classical liberal' in economic and social matters and 'Atlanticist' in foreign policy.
The Freedom Institute publishes frequently across the spectrum of public policy issues. Our researchers have published in the Sunday Times, the Jerusalem Post, the Sunday Independent, the Sunday Business Post, Magill Magazine, and elsewhere. Through the broadcast media our contributors have engaged in the public debate on the Late Late Show, CNN, Liveline, the Marian Finucane Show, Newstalk 106, RTE news, and BBC news.
Our researchers have spoken by invitation in University College Dublin, University College Cork, the National University of Ireland, Galway, and Trinity College Dublin.
