- Freedom Charters is owned and operated by Jay Hill, who spent ten years in the Navy, five of which were on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise where he was fortunate enough to travel around the world four times, sailing in every known condition including hurricanes and typhoons in the Atlantic, Pacific, Southern Ocean, Indian Ocean, South China Sea, Sea of Japan, Bering Sea all the way to the ice line, Mediterranean, Caribbean, and more. Jay has visited 48 countries and 36 of the United States and all of their islands in Atlantic, Pacific, and Caribbean. Jay's been cruising the Caribbean for the last 6 years on vessels from 30' to 125' in conditions up to and including tropical storm force. Now he finds himself cruising casually throughout the warm weather in the Atlantic and Caribbean - helping others live their dream of cruising even if it's on a part-time basis.
