- About a week ago, I was walking down Connecticut Avenue on my way to work. Almost every day, I notice a single office chair sitting in front of a building slightly north of Dupont Circle. Occasionally, the chair is occupied by an older man, not quite a doorman, more of a super. He's usually puttering around, doing something, not too strenously. This day, he's wearing a great t-shirt: The top of the shirt reads "I work hard at my job..." Underneath, demarking the frequency of the hard work, is each day of the week -- in huge letters -- checked off with a big mark.
