Franshoek Mountain Lodge lies in a secluded valley in the heart of the cherry growing district of the Eastern Free State, where, in season, you can pick you own cherries.
It is surrounded by the majestic Maluti mountains, a vision of green in summer, snow capped in winter. A landscape of sheer sandstone cliffs, that give way to gentle slopes. The farm has huge overhanging caves and waterfalls to explore - and countless walks and trails under the willows and up the mountain where crystals are found lying in abundance.
With only ten rooms, it is an intimate, relaxed, family friendly lodge with plenty to do for both adults and children.
