About us. The Forest Green Table Tennis Club was formed at the Sunday School Hall just outside of Fourlanes on the road to Helston. The name of the area originated many years ago from the forests of trees growing from Ninemaidens down to Portreath. Unfortunately, the trees were cut down during the tin mining era and used for shoring the mines walls and passage ways. There is a saying that red squirrels could travel from Ninemaidens to Portreath and not touch the ground.
