Title

FlyMine

Description

The FlyMine project is building an integrated database of genomic, expression and protein data for Drosophila and Anopheles and making this available to the worldwide research community via web and bioinformatics interfaces. The FlyMine project is based at the Department of Genetics, University of Cambridge and is a collaboration between the Genetics and Biochemistry departments of the University of Cambridge.

To create a database for the management of Drosophila and Anopheles data generated by existing high-throughput post-genomics techniques: expression studies, proteomics and 3D protein structure prediction.

To integrate the above database with the curated database of Drosophila genetics (FlyBase), the annotated view of the Drosophila genome (GadFly) and corresponding Anopheles data.
