The Band of the Sun, under the direction of Ms. Carla G Geiger. Is a full and comprehensive site for the Marching Band at the School of Music of Florida International University. The site includes a list of staff, news articles about us, our current drum majors, section pages for all instrumentation and components of the marching band, a director's page showing information on past and present directors. Along with all that a comprehensive members only section exclusive to only the members past and present with pictures, audio, and video of the band. Also learn about the band in the about section and also look at the their alumni association. They also keep information on their upcoming events and organizations and events. They have an artist page located on MySpace Artist at www.myspace.com/fiugoldenpanthermarchingband. One of the new and premiere college bands in the country, the Golden Panther Band performs multiple shows ranging from classic rock, to latin, and to the classical works. Along with performing at the Golden Panther football games, they also perform at multiple events at the University including Freshmen Convocation and in the community in parades for Christmas and other holiday or special events.
