FATA Rural Development Project was approved by ECNEC on July 2005 at total cost of US $60 Million with the primary objective to reduce poverty in three agencies of Bajaur, Mohmand & Khyber. The Project formally commenced in July 2006 and shall be completed in five years that is by June 2011. The main financiers of the Project are the Asian Development Bank (US $42 Million), the Government of Pakistan (US $15 Million) and the beneficiaries will contribute (US $3 Million).
