It is a historical fact that a small batch of derveshis had come with Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (r.a) on his mission to India. According to the author of “sivar-ul-aqtab”, their number is reported to be 40 while, according to other chroniclers,it was not more than 11 or less than 4 , but in any case, it is an established fact that one of them was Hazrat Khwaja Fakhruddin Gurdezi (r.a) . When Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty left for his mission, his pir-o-murshid Hazrat Khwaja Usman Harooni asked him to take one of his blood relation and follower Hazrat Khwaja Fakhruddin Gurdezi(r.a) Particularly along with other derveshis because Hazrat Khwaja Fakhruddin Gurdezi (r.a) the Khadim-e-Khas, has overwhelming regard for and used to attend on Hazrat Khwaja Moinudin chishty(r.a), he therefore took pride and deemed it an honour to call himself a “Khadim” of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (r.a) .Even today the descendents (sahibzadaz) take it as a pride to be called khadims of Gharib Nawaz (r.a). When Gharib Nawaz (r.a) kept himself busy in prayer and meditation or in seclusion for a number of days he looked after his affairs and management of Khanqah and Langar Khana. Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (r.a) deputed his companions to go out and preach the message of islam, the message of love and humanity in different parts. But Khwaja Fakhruddin Gurdezi (r.a) out of his great love and devotion, preffered to remain with Gharib Nawaz (r.a). He was thus with him upto his last breath. Hazrat Khwaja Fakhruddin Gurdezi (r.a) died in ajmer on 25th of Rajjab 642 A.H. After Khwaja Fakhruddin’s wisaal(demise) he was buried near the Mazaar-e-pak of Gharib Nawaz(r.a) in the Hujra(cell) now known as “Tosha-Khana” situating inside the mousoleum. His annual urs ever since his demise, still continues and is celebrated on the 25th of Rajjab with all religious ceremonies of the Chishtia Silsila (chishtia order). The Khuddam of Khwaja Sahib known as "Syedzaadgan" trace their descent from Hazrat Khwaja Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A.) through his sons. Khwaja Syed Masood, Khwaja Syed Mahboob Bahlol and Khwaja Syed Ibrahim. Khadims Known as “Syedzadgaan” trace their descent from Hazrat Khwaja Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A.) .
